Gail Josselsohn

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1944, and throughout my life, I’ve been captivated by the colors, textures, and patterns of the natural world. From the vibrant coral reefs to the lush foliage of tropical jungles, nature has always been my greatest source of inspiration. Over the years, my artistic journey has led me to explore a wide range of techniques and mediums, including pencil and charcoal drawing, oil and acrylic painting, and painting with imported dyes on silk—a specialty I’m particularly passionate about.

In 2022, I made Aliyah to Israel, a journey that began with arriving in Jerusalem—a city alive with rich history, vibrant culture, and spiritual depth. Immersing myself in its dynamic energy was an unforgettable introduction to the country. Now, I’ve settled in Netanya, a paradise by the sea. With its white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking sunsets, Netanya feels like a dreamscape, an artist’s haven where inspiration is ever-present.

I’m thrilled to call this beautiful coastal city my home and to share my love for art with new students, nurturing their creativity against the backdrop of this idyllic seaside setting.
